Some in this phase have bagged multiple awards to the extent that they are recognized globally as one of the most awarded Afrobeat gems at all dimensions.

Wizkid

The Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, Wizkid, in this category, emerged as the most awarded Afrobeat star so far.

David Adeleke joined the likes of Wizkid and deservedly secured the second space in this category and has so bagged multiple music awards to his name.

Just like Wizkid, Davido started bagging multiple awards in his teens after clinching the next-rated artist at the 2011 Headies Award.

He was credited for his hit song ‘Dami Duro’ and debut album ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ and since this impact, he was able to maintain his peak going forward to breach over 80 awards.

The Nigerian sensational singer and songwriter, Burna Boy did breach dimension to attain his place in this category.

He became the face of Afrobeat after releasing hit albums including his debut album ‘Grass to Grace’ which changed Afrobeat to date.

2 Face emerged to be one of the first Nigerian singers to grace the BET award after attaining massive streaming numbers with his hit songs.

Olamide

One of the pioneers of the Afrobeat Rap genre, Olamide also deservedly shared a spot in this category following the view of his influence.

Tiwa Savage

Nigerian incredible Afrobeat sensation, Tiwa Savage is the only female Afrobeat sensation to find her place in this category.

She is also described as the pioneer of Afrobeat having carried the genre in dominance for over a decade.

Through total dominance, she has been able to lay hands in various awards that have secured her plaques that can reform to cabinet.

Since her debut in the Nigerian music firm, Tiwa Savage has been able to clinch a whooping number of major music plaques including an MTV Europe Music Award, MTV Africa Music Award, two The Headies Awards, one Channel O Music Video Award, one Nigeria Music Video Award, and two City People Entertainment Awards.

There are still countless minor music awards left on her record, making her one of the most adored female singers in Nigeria.
